Show and Tell: 
     • Time: Weekly- 10am Tues or 3pm Thurs
     • Ages: 5-9
     • Duration: 1 hour      30-45 minutes demonstration with 15-30 minutes hands on
     • Project: Pendant/Ornament
     • Enrollment: 2-4 spots, parent/adult mandatory
     • Cost: $20 per child/adult pair (Disc. price: $18)

             ▪ The first half of the Show and Tell class will consist of Platinum Star Forge’s blacksmith introducing them to the history of blacksmithing and how it has evolved throughout the centuries.  There will also be a short demonstration on lighting the forge as well as forging out some material, which will range anywhere from making scrolls, or leaves to twisting bars. Students will have the opportunity to hammer cold soft metal during the hands on portion of the class. Finally the class will conclude with the students painting a pendant or ornament to take home and if time permits the projects will be sealed with a clear coat before leaving.

1 Day Beginner Teen Class:
     • Date: Friday March 27, 2020; Friday April 3, 2020; Friday April 17, 2020
     • Ages: 13-17
     • Duration: 9am-3:30pm Saturdays with 1 hour lunch break (5.5 hour class)
     • Food: Lunch will be provided courtesy of The Ole’ Country Store (sandwich, chips, and drink)
     • Project: Key Rack w/1 hook & nails
     • Enrollment: 2-3 spots
     • Cost: $180   (Disc. Price: $162)
     • Finished Key Rack Value: $50

             ▪ The class will consist of Platinum Star Forge’s blacksmith introducing them to the history of blacksmithing and how it has evolved throughout the centuries. Students will also learn about the varying temperatures of fire and their influence on the metal. In this class students will work with a forge, learn how to properly hold a hammer and tongs, draw metal out, shape, and quench. Most will conclude the class with a finished key rack. If time permits Platinum Star Forge’s blacksmith may demonstrate twisting bars or other techniques.

1 Day Beginner Adult Class:
     • Date: Saturday March 28, 2020; Saturday April 4, 2020
     • Ages: 18 and older
     • Duration: 9am-3:30pm Saturdays with 1 hour lunch break (5.5 hour class)
     • Food: Lunch will be provided courtesy of The Ole’ Country Store (sandwich, chips, and drink)
     • Project: Key Rack w/2 hooks, nails and rivets
     • Enrollment: 2-3 spots
     • Cost: $180 (Disc. Price: $162)
     • Finished Key Rack Value: $80
